Additional Information: | The newly inventoried house is a two story Cross Gable building appearing to date to ca. 1900. The house has a concrete foundation, clapboard siding, and an asphalt shingle roof. An open single story porch with a hipped roof and wooden balustrade stretches across the width of the front (north-facing) facade. Wooden steps access the porch. The door is off-center, flanked by two pairs of one-over-one windows. Two double hung windows light the second story, while a leaded glass window lights the attic space under the gable. Each window has a wooden surround, sill, and lintel. The house retains integrity, but it is a typical example of a vernacular form and lacks architectural distinction. It also exhibits diminished integrity due to an altered porch, vinyl siding, and replacement windows. |
