Bibliographic References: | The Daily Reporter (Milwaukee), 2 July 1926, cites a brick veneer, 46 x 70 residence and garage in Kiel to be built for H.C. Hesch, the secretary of the Kiel Woodenware Company; architect, W. F. Neumann (born in Kiel but practiced in Milwaukee). Upon review of census and obituary materials, the name should have been Mesch. Henry died in March 1929, but Berthilde remained in the home through at least 1940. Henry's sister was married to Wallace Johnson, who lived nearby at 422 5th Street, and who also employed Neumann as architect for his home. |
