Additional Information: | SECOND STORY INTACT WITH LARGE FRIEZE, CORNICE AND PARAPET. FIRST STORY ALTERED. 2021 - Resurveyed. This two-story brick Neoclassical-style building was constructed in 1901. The altered storefront level is clad in a mixture of replacement brick and vinyl siding, with a rusticated stone base. The entrance is located on the right side of the façade and is recessed. Across the façade is a flat metal roof supported by metal brackets. The second story of the façade is separated by a brick cornice. There are four regularly spaced window openings that have been infilled with wood and are covered by a double-sided sign that projects from the building at an angle. The window openings have flat brick arches and a continuous stone still that wraps around the north side of the building. Above the windows is a decorative cornice with inset stone detailing and a stepped parapet wall with stone lettering reading “A.D. 1901.” The decorative cornice is continued along the north elevation. There are eight window openings on the north elevation, four have been boarded up and four contain one-over-one replacement windows. There is a secondary entrance located at the northwest corner of first floor. |
