ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT:

The Cadiz Hotel is a two story frame building which has been covered with wood siding. The interior has been changed somewhat, although it is still possible to see the hotel layout.

HISTORICAL STATEMENT:

Hotels for travellers moving between the lead area and the eastern portion of the state were important features of Green County. The Cadiz Hotel, located in the town of Cadiz, which was one of the first areas settled in the county, apears to be the only reminder of this early activity.

It is architecturally significant in that it represents a type, period or method of construction. It is historically significant in that it is associated with the developement of a locality.
