Vernacular house of 2 1/2 stories on long rectangular foundation. Circular wraparound veranda on front with pillars and large volutes in place, similar to 214 5th Avenue East. Note similar details in bargeboard. Plan, proportions, and elevations suggest Queen Anne style.

Arthur Bertheaume, Sr. (1895-1969) an Ashland resident lived here and was employed as a Soo Line engineer and a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers.

2017: Re-sheathed (was asbestos) and windows replaced.
