| Additional Information: | Asymmetrical square towers flanking facade; tri-portal entrance; pointed arched windows and doors; shite stone trim battlements and stepped buttresses ornament belfry and tower; small buttresses on side elevations; stained glass. One of three 20th century Gothic Revival church structures in Chippewa Falls characterized by the new simplicity of surface and ornament, the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, constructed in 1927, is important but not a significant example of the style. This church was constructed in 1925 by Chippewa Falls contractors Schafer and Olson. The designer was Henry Bartlett of Eau Claire. The origins of this church date back to 1886 when ground was broken for Holy Ghost Parish Church in the predominantly French Canadian portion of Chippewa Falls, known as Frenchtown in South Chippewa Falls. Services were delivered in both French and English during the early years. The original church was replaced in 1927 by the present building.
