NOTES
Additional Information:IRREGULAR MASSING AND VARIOUS FORMS TYPICAL OF THE QUEEN ANNE STYLE. OCTAGONAL TOWER ABOVE WRAP-AROUND PORCH, WOOD SHINGLES IN GABLES, BAY WINDOW OFF BACK. ALSO, PRESENCE OF CLASSICALLY STYLED DETAILING: COLUMNS, ELABORATE KEYSTONES, FESTOONS, AND PALLADIAN WINDOW FORMS, MARK THIS HOUSE AS A QUEEN ANNE VARIANT KNOWN AS FREE CLASSIC STYLE. WRIGHT WAS A VETERINARIAN. HOUSE SERVED AS A MEDICAL/DENTAL CLINIC FROM 1958-1989 DURING WHICH TIME IT WAS OWNED BY DR. CLEMENT CHELI. Recent (1996) excellent restoration included the addition of an octagonal gazebo at the end of the veranda. New two-car garage designed to compliment the house. Gable ends clad in fish scale and plain wood shingled.

"This building's irregular massing, tower, wraparound porch, decorative shingles and variety of roof forms are all elements of the Queen Anne style. However, the presence of classically-derived detailing, such as columns, elaborate keystones, swags or festoons above some of the windows and Palladian window forms, mark this house as a Queen Anne variant known as the Free Classic style. The wraparound porch is nicely detailed to address the street corner. An oval window to the right of the entrance uses exaggerated keystones in a decorative motif.

Dr. Leslie Wright was a veterinarian. The house served as a medical/dental clinic from 1958-1989 during which time it was owned by Dr. Clement Cheli." Columbus Historic Architecture Tours, undated.
