NOTES
Additional Information:PROJECTING ENTRY W/BARGE BOARDS IN GABLES. MANSARD ROOF ON TOWER. POINTED ARCH WINDOWS. Built in 1868 as a simple rectilinear plan gable-roofed wood church for the Welsh Methodist congregation. In 1898 ten-feet was added to the north side, the corner tower was built, a new roof was placed over the whole, and the interior was remodelled. Between 1915-1927 Sanborn-Perris maps for those years show still another additon added across the rear of the church. Since then, the original clapboard cladding of the church has been resided in vinyl.

This building was built to serve a Welsh Calvinistic Methodist congregation. This church, Nazareth, was one of four Welsh churches in the Columbus area. Each expansion of this building was done using materials from a closing sister church. Services were held in the Welsh language until 1942. The bell tower, using a ship's bell, was added in the 1950s. The original windows were replaced with modern stained glass in the 1960s.
