NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the State Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. This one and a half-story astylistic utilitatian ranger station features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, a brick exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Gabled dormers intersect with the main roof in the attic story. These dormers along with a new furnace and two second-story bedrooms were added on in 1956. An earlier remodeling took place in 1938. The interior is finished with plaster and painted walls, concrete flooring on the first story, and maple flooring on the second. No basement appears under this building due to the high water table. The station is in good condition. The Webster Ranger Station has functioned since its 1935 date of construction as an office, living quarters, and storage of equipment and fire fighting hand tools.
