Bibliographic References:1935 Assessor's record book (in possession of the City of New Holstein) cites the owner of 1800 Illinois Avenue as George Frederick & Helen Schmidt, who purchased the lot on 22 November 1918. Afterwards owned by Hubert & Christine Bosma (purchased 25 May 1936) and then Albert Halbach (purchased 18 February 1949).
