Additional Information: | This house is one of the few concrete stucco buildings in the city and the only one of this shape. It is two stories and there are two gables (facing the road) with exposed rafters. The foundation is rock faced and windows are 6/1. An enclosed porch covers part of the front. The detailing on this building suggests craftsmand and bungalow influence. The integrity of this house has remained intact. It is the only home of this shape and style in the city. It does not have any outstanding or significant characteristics although it is a different style of building than what is seen in New Richmond. The one story garage has clapboard exterior fabric and faces South Washington Avenue. There are exposed rafters and the gable roof has the gable end facing the road. The door is wood and glass and there are endboards. See SC22-33 for photo. |
