NOTES
Additional Information:The Bell Ford Motor Dealership and garage were constructed by Ernie Bell in 1915. The Art Moderne style facility, located at 155 West Third Street, had an addition constructed in 1926. The building was sold to Lawrence and Esther Cox in 1934, who operated a repair garage and cement company from the location. The Cox’s also operated a motor company and repair garage at 302 and 310 South Knowles Avenue. In 1942, Doughboy Industries purchased the property and used it to assemble packaged rations for the United States Army during the war years.

The plastics division of Doughboy took over the space after the end of World War II. The building was damaged by fire in 1950 and repaired and remodeled. The building was remodeled again in 1980 and continued to serve as offices and manufacturing facilities for Doughboy until 2010, when it closed.

Brick and concrete block (on additions) are the exterior fabric on this 1 and 2 story building. The 2 story square part has a stone cornice and 2 story brick pilasters next to the entry. There is vertical brickwork under the stone on the second story. Windows are block glass. The one story sections are brick with concrete sides. A beltline is above the windows and they have stone sills. See SC31-8 for the rest of the Doboy/Domain complex at a different site.
