NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This library was built in 1917 with funds from philanthropist and industrialist, Andrew Carnegie. The Carnegie Public Library was remodeled and had an addition built to the south side in 1986. The historical museum is on the lower level and the library is on the upper level. (D). The 1986 addition connected the 1914 library to the 1932 museum to the south. Both sections have similar styling, materials and proportions. Resurveyed 2020. Update photo. DOE recommended pursuant to "potentially eligible" designation in AHI.
