Additional Information: | The F in the photo codes is for Fox Canal Survey. According to Sanborn-Perris Insurance Maps, this building was constructed around 1890. All of the historic documents list this property as a salooon from 1891 to present. The 1892 city directory lists "A. Bronk" under "saloons" and the 1898 Semi-Centennial edition of the Berlin Evening Journal states that "C.A. Buck and Joseph Alberts open saloon at 812 Capron Street in August, 1897." The 1915-1916 City Directory lists "Theodore Bombinski" under "saloons" and the 1947 directory lists "Bing's Tavern" at this address. |
