NOTES
Additional Information:This two story buff colored brick house is a late example of the Italianate style. Italianate features include the truncated hip roof, overhanging eaves with carved brackets, and decorative window hoods. The design of the front and side porches is typical of the Eastlake style. Exterior alterations include the removal of decorative roof cresting and the replacement of the original windows with aluminum windows. The dwelling is in good condition. It is architecturally significant in that it represents a type, period or method of construction. Formerly a single family residence, the building now serves as a two unit apartment. It was owned by Guy W. Shilts, Jr. in 1981.

Historical Statement:

This residence was built for Alexander Graham in about 1886. Graham is listed in the 1870 city directory as a "member of (State) Assembly and City Alderman." The 1891 directory lists him as a "miner."
