This structure contributes to the significance of the Broadway-Huron Street Historic District under criterion C as a representative example of a commercial style retail building displaying the ornamental brickwork and plain fenestral treatment typical of World War I period structures. The shortening of the second story windows and the boomtown style rustic board storefront are unsympathetic alterations.
