Additional Information: | This two-story rests on a stone foundation. Windows throughout the main block are regularly arranged and include both one-over-one and two-over-two light sashes arranged either singly or in pairs. Modern shutters flank most of the window openings. A modern, enclosed porch with vertical board siding is situated within the northeast corner of the ell, while a one story wing extends from the rear. An open staircase provides access to a rear, second level entrance. The only city directory available for that general time period is from 1915-1916 and notes the owner as William Bahr. The next known occupant was Louis A. Voelbercht (in the mid-1940s), while Lawrence and Selma Krause are noted as owners in 1955. The Krauses' removed the original barn and built a garage. |
