NOTES
Additional Information:This one and one half story gabled ell house features a T-shaped plan configuration, a clapboard and wood shingled exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled shed and multi-gabled roof. Granite stone, concrete and concrete block comprise the foundation. In the crux of the ell is a small porch whose shed roof is supported by a metal post. The residence is in good condition. A garage is a related building. Architectural/Engineering Significance: This structrure contributes to the significance of the Nathan Strong Park Historic District under Criterion C as a modest Queen Anne village house. Although the original turned post on the porch has been replaced with a wrought-iron upright and a modern front door and sidelights installed, the house otherwise retains much of its original character. It appears to have been built at the same time as 169 Sumner Street (GL 26/26), next door by the same builder to nearly idential plans.
