Additional Information: | This house was built by Walter and Elizabeth Parsons at a cost of $6,800. Walter worked in Berlin as a produce dealer, operating a shop on Wisconsin Street. Walter and his wife Betty had at least two children--Jean and Walter Jr., the latter of which became his partner by no later than the 1960s, when they sold poultry and eggs. In 1954, the Parsons' remodeled the kitchen and added an enclosed porch to the southwest corner of the house. Five years later, a fire occurred in the home, however, it is unknown how much damage was done. In 1978, Walter Sr. and his second wife, Mabel, sold the house to Robert and Mary Larson. In 1981, the Larsons sold the property to Michael and Jane Seiler, who lived here until at least 2002. |
