Additional Information:This two-story commercial vernacular styled retail structure was built in 1926. (See Bib. Ref. A). It features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a brick exterior, and a flat roof. Appearing near the cornice are brick corbelling, stringcourses and simple decorative designs. A segmental parapet distinguishes the roofline. This structure, which is in excellent condition, is considered to be the companion building to 201 N. Iowa Street (See Map Code 47/10). Historical Background: This commercial block is recorded as a "store" on the 1927 Sanborn Map.
