Additional Information: | This house has been neatly but substantially remodeled over time and its original appearance and cofiguration is difficult to decipher. It is likely that it was a two story building with first one ell than the other added over time. What may be original or early double windows on the two story section are typical of the turn of the century while the rounded corner porch openings and the "Tudorish" window of the other ell are more typical of the 1910s. Later modification include textured asbestos siding and false blinds. Despite these modifications, this house contributes to the residential character and architectural significance of the District as a building which despite its remodeling over time, is visually and functionally compatible with other District buildings. |
