Additional Information: | This appears to have been a tri-gabled two-story house in the late Queen Anne style. Remodeling probably in the 1920s-filled the opening of the ell, extended the roof slope to cover this, added the broad dormer, and the triple windows on the first level. The entry porch-with its "Colonial" detailing-was probably added at this time. It is because of these modifications that this house contributes to the architectural significance of the District. By this remodeling it shows the transition between the late 19th century and early 20th century styles common within the District. According to the current property owner (December 2011), the correct address for this property is 613 Louisiana Street. |
