Additional Information: | This vernacular structure is rectangular in plan with a shallow gable facing the street. A higher section which intersects the main block of the building is to the rear. A two-story house of clapboard set on a local limestone foundation, this building is of architectural interest because the detailing of the gable end piece--made up of incised panels and spindle work--and the intact front porch with its turned porchposts and balusters. A leaded, stained glass window fills the transom of the primary window. Applied shutters appear to be the only alteration to the original fabric of this simple house. |
