NOTES
Additional Information:The carriage house is a contributing resource. Two-story brick Italianate style house with a Neo-classic porch. Italianate features include overhanging eaves, double front doors, and decorative window hoods.

Built in about 1865 for D.H. Babbitt who is listed in 1866 and 1870 city directories as a "speculator" and a "real estate dealer." He was city treasurer from 1883 to 1889. The house was later owned by Ogden H. Fethers, an attorney with the firm of Fethers, Jeffris and Fifield.

"This late Italianate style house, much enlarged when relatively new, shows the influence of the Queen Anne in its projecting shingled bays. Executed in cream brick, the window surrounds have limestone keystones. The carriage house, also of cream brick, survives at the rear. Blount was City Treasurer at the time he lived here, 1883-1889."
