| Additional Information: | THIS TWO-STORY COMMERCIAL BUILDING HAS BEEN DESIGNED WITH A RECTANGULAR-SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A BRICK EXTERIOR AND A FLAT ROOF. WINDOWS AND DOORS WHICH ARE SEGMENTALLY ARCHED, AND A CORNICE OF UNCERTAIN MATERIAL ARE PRESENT IN THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN. ALSO FEATURED IS A FRAME ADDITION ON THE SOUTH. THIS BUILDING, CONSTRUCTED BETWEEN 1905 AND 1915 WITH ADDITIONS MADE TO IT SUBSEQUENTLY, IS PRESENTLY IN GOOD CONDITION. (SEE BIB. REF. A). VARIOUS RETAIL BUSINESSES COMPRISED THE HISTORIC USES OF THIS BUILDING FROM 1915 TO AT LEAST 1927. (SEE BIB. REF. B). HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: A COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENT SPECIALIZING IN WALLPAPER AND PAINTS OCCUPIED THIS BRICK STRUCTURE IN 1915. IN 1927, THE BUILDING IS LISTED AS A "STORE." (SEE BIB. REF. B). |
