Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. RAISED MORTAR. STONE LINTELS. Previously surveyed in 1980. 1993- "This is a two story, coursed quarried stone house. With its rectangular shape and hipped roof, it conveys a sense of the Georgian architectural style. The house appears to have originally had a full width porch. That was subsequently replaced by a small gabled porch. The porch replacement nothwithstanding, this house is another excellent example of quarried stone construction. It is owned by the Bruenig Family, one of those named in the St. Norbert's history." - "USH 12, Sauk City to Middleton", WisDOT ID #5300-03-01, Prepared by John N Vogel, PhD (1993). |
