| Additional Information: | THIS ONE AND A HALF-STORY BUNGALOW FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN, A BRICK EXTERIOR AND A LOW PITCHED, HIP ROOF. A FULL-LENGTH PORCH SUPPORTED BY HEAVY BRICK PIERS RUNS ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE, AND A SHED-ROOFED DORMER APPEARS ABOVE. EXPOSED RAFTERS EXTEND FROM BENEATH THE EAVES. A GABLED PROJECTION ON THE WEST SIDE IS ALSO PRESENT. ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT OWNER (THE GRANDSON OF THE BUILDER), THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1915 AND WAS CONFIGURED AFTER A SEARS AND ROEBUCK DESIGN. HOWEVER, THE DESIGN HAS NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED IN ANY BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT. THE C. 1920 DWELLING (SEE BIB. REF. A) IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALSO LOCATED ON THIS SITE IS A GARAGE. YET, NO INTENSIVE SURVEY EXISTS DESCRIBING THIS PARTICULAR STRUCTURE. |
