Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Original library designed in Prairie School style by Maher. This structure surrounded by additions; one in 1929 sympathetic to original design, the other in an inappropriate contemporary manner in 1968. Andrew Carnegie gave $25,000 for the library in 1904 and Walter Alexander donated the land.
