Additional Information: | 2005- The original Front Gable portion of this building was built as a blacksmith shop by William Walters in 1858 or 1859 an d its (purportedly) the oldest surviving building in Alma Center. The building continued to function as a blacksmith shop until at least the early 1900s, when Nathan Merrill also has his shop in this building. |
