Additional Information:The park is surrounded by a stone fence with fieldstone gates flanking Tenth Street, and has an ampitheater and steps. In 1928 the widow and daughters of Alexander Stewart hired landscape architects Root and Hollister of Chicago to design the park which was then given to the city.
