CORINTHIAN COLUMNS. 1 STORY STONE MILK HOUSE W/ASHLAR QUOINS AND CRENELLATONS CONVERTED TO ELECTRIC PLANT IN 1912. Steps are from old Masonic Temple in Chicago; the capitals were made in Chicago. Large sandstone residence with 2-story carriage house which has evolved from a 3-room pioneer dwelling in the 1830s and a stagecoach inn in the mid-19th century. It is located in the Hundred Mile Grove, so named because it was 100 miles from Ft. Crawford (Prairie du Chien) to Ft. Howard (Green Bay) on the old Military Road.
