Was Whiz Bang - Mary's Bar in 1979.

These properties at 1301-07 were constructed in 1882 as income properties for Rudolph Wiese, a successful Milwaukee pharmacist. The one-story infill building was constructed before the turn of the century. The original buildings are two-story, frame, front-gabled structures. The storefronts of these buildings feature fluted, wooden corner pilasters. A Queen Anne-style, bracketed, wood and sheet metal cornice separates the first and second floors. Original fenestration is found on the second floors and consists of double-hung wood sash windows. Quatrefoil windows pierce the gable ends of the building. The two-story buildings are clapboard clad.

Vernacular frame commercial architecture, a pair of two-story front-gabled blocks built in 1882. Of clapboard siding, consisting of window store fronts, the original placement and design, the two buildings are 22' x 45' with an infill building constructed around 1900 of 13' x 38'. There is a 2 bedroom apartment over each of the gabled buildings. The interior of the stores have been rebuilt several times, most recently used as a guitar shop and the other a restaurant. All windows and their placement are original.
