Additional Information:Interior end chimneys and quarter windows; gable roof dormers with cornice returns; 6/6 light windows; wide cornice board; two story porch; groups of triple windows with elepitcal fanlight over first floor windows; sidelights along main entrance. The apartments identified as the A.A. Porter Aprtments o nthe name block were erected during his ownership in 1933-1934. They replaced an earlier dwelling occupied by John J. Staudenmayer in 1929. By 1955, the building contained eleven apartments.
Bibliographic References:Sanborn-Perris Map Co. 1929: an earlier dwelling appears on the property. Columbia Co. Treasurer 1863- 1930-1942: A.A. Porter owns property. While the value of the building o nthe property is $1400 in 1930, this building is a dwelling. In 1931, the value for buildings is $300 with a notation that the building has been removed. In 1933, the value is $8000 indicating that the apartments were erected in 1933-34.
