Additional Information: | A 'site file' (Gale College Historic District) exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. This building is a three-story tan brick structure with a flat roof with overhanging eaves and exposed rafters. It has many tall, narrow windows with lintels and sills. The tall foundation is ashlar with many narrow windows similar to the upper stories. The entry porch is of new construction with a brick story at basement level, concrete and brick steps and iron railings. The interior is plain with logn narrow hallways off which are domitory-sized rooms. This building was constructed by the Norwegian Lutherans who controlled Gale College from 1901 to 1939. It indicates the growth the college underwent during the Lutheran period. 2013 - This building retains good integrity |
