Additional Information: | Of interest primarily because of its age, this plain utilitarian building is one of the oldest industrial structures in town, dating from the early "mill" days. In several sections, the upper story(s) was moved and veneered on top of ground story sometime in the late 1800's. This was part of the first structure erected by Judge GAle as part of his mill complex on Beaver Creek. Originally a mill, it was later moved on top of a cooperage and then as a blacksmith's shop. The third floor served as a public hall in the 1890's, and the building was called High Cliff Hall. Also used at onhe time as High Cliff Wagon Company. This section now demolished. |
