Additional Information:An excellent example of a style that is prevalent in the neighborhood, this handsome Queen Anne house has a two-story octagonal bay, a round corner turret with conical roof, and other hallmarks of the style.

W.S. Wadleigh was a Galesville attorney who was a partner with G.Y. Freeman, a pioneer resident of the community. Wadleigh was active in local politics along with a successful law practice. He served as Galesville mayor for 9 terms. Previous to Wadleigh's law career, he was a member of a travelinhg music and theatre troop. Later, he used this experience in Galesville to build the community band.
