NOTES
Additional Information:The streamlined appearance of the Kaukauna Railroad Station reflects the Art Moderne Style. Its flat roof, rounded corners, smooth wall surfaces devoid of ornamentation and circular windows are characteristic of the style. Since the building was used only for a short while, very few changes have been made to the original design.

The railroad first came through Kaukauna in 1863 giving the City its first impetus toward prosperity by connecting Kaukauna with the outside world. When the north side passenger railroad station was built in 1947, Mayor Bayorgeon wrote, 'I don't know how long that old station was there, but now Kaukauna has a railroad station that the City can truly boast about."

Resurveyed 2007. Major alteration since the 1983 survey is the replacement of the flat roof with a series of gabled roofs of different heights.
