NOTES
Additional Information:THE F IN THE PHOTO CODE STANDS FOR FCS. The Little Chute Powerhouse is a three-story, utilitarian hydroelectric plant. A smooth-surfaced cement base contains the turbines and discharge chambers. Sidewalls of the brick superstructure are divided into five bays by pilaster strips capped by flush stone panels. A parapetted cornice masks a flat roof. Each of the building's metal-framed windows is divided by horizontal bars into three multipaned panels, and has a slightly recessed brick surround. The building abuts the Little Chute dam and can be reached by the metal dam catwalk or a metal door at sill height on the shore side. The compartmented subdivision of the wall and window framing, and the square trim panels resemble the geometric detailing of the Prairie School. OTHER BUILDINGS RELATED TO THIS STRUCTURE INCLUDE A DAM AND A LOCK COMPLEX.
