NOTES
Additional Information:There exists some discrepency concering the date of construction. The 1925 Sanborn Map of Little Chute dates the building to 1910 while the 1943 Sanborn Map dates the structure to 1896. Both the owner of the structure and the city directories seem to confirm the earlier date. OAHP INVENTORY (06/1981): This structure was probably constructed in 1896 by the Marshall & Hammel Elevator Co. The facility was purchased by the Wynboom family and has remained as the Little Chute Elevator since 1917. The bulk of the structure, including the elevator and the two gabled structures located laterally to the elevator date to the original construction. Additions to the grain warehouse and storage areas to the west date no later than 1925. The structure occupies a site 28' x 130' and sits on a concrete foundation.
