Additional Information: | This two story commercial vernacular building is constructed of red bricks. It features a simple stone belt course as a cornice, two tall single-light double-hung sashes that are decorated with brick surrounds and accented with stone tabs. These windows flank a bay covered with pressed metal. The window openings of the bay are tall, narrow sashes. The first floor features an intact historic storefront of large show windows, a wood apron, cast iron columns, and a recessed double wood and glass doors decorated with a transom. Another wood and glass door leads to the second floor of the building. Of particular interest is the intact historic storefront, one of the few that are extant in Fond du Lac's downtown. |
