THIS BUILDING WAS BUILT IN 1901 AS AN OPERA HOUSE BY OR FOR WILLIAM ENDRES. IT REPLACED THE OLD WISCONSIN HOUSE HOTEL, WHICH WAS BUILT IN 1853 BY DIETRICH. HISTORIC PHOTOS SHOW THAT THIS BUILDING WAS ORIGINALLY CLAD IN CLAPBOARDS, HAD TWO-OVER-TWO-LIGHT WINDOWS,AND ITS OVERHANGING SECOND STORY WAS SUPPORTED BY MORE ELABORATE TURNED POSTS.

THIS BUILDING WAS DEMOLISHED IN 2013.
