NOTES
Additional Information:This two and one-half story Craftsman house has a stucco and brick exterior, a steeply-pitched gable roof with projecting dormers and wood shingling in the gable ends. There are large brackets under the roof eaves. An entry porch wraps slightly around the northwest corner of the house. It features large paired brackets, a shingled gable, and brick piers and balustrade.

This house is archtecturally significant as a good example of the Craftsman style. The stucco and brick exterior, shingled gables, and fine wood craftsmanship of this house are all hallmarks of the style. The relatively early construction date of this house (c. 1900) makes it a progressive design for its era.

Probably built by Joseph Longua, a carpenter, the house became the home of Joseph and Clara Helz between 1915 and 1942. Helz was a physician. Initial research indicates that this house is not historically significant. Further research may uncover information that may make the house significant in the future.
