NOTES
Additional Information:This two story Queen Anne house has a cross gable plan. It is sided with clapboards and trimmed with applied stickwork. Windows are largely single-light sashes. The main entrance is covered with a porch featuring square posts and brackets.

The unusual plan of the house, with the projecting massive two and one-half story gable ell suggests the irregularity of the style. The applied stickwork is typical of some Queen Anne houses. While not an elaborate example of the style, it shows how even a simple house can be decorated with fashionable details from a popular architectural style.

This house was probably built for Silas Cole, a contractor around 1890. Around 1900, he built a new, more elaborate Queen Anne house across the street from this building. This house is not historically significant at this time.
