| Additional Information: | Photo code #2: 74FD-33/29-31. This simple one and one half story brick Greek Revival house has a gable roof, returned eaves, and an enclosed front porch. The brick house sits on a stone foundation. Windows are single light double hung sashes decorated with tall segmental arches. Also on the property is a brock L shaped barn with a concrete silo. The barn has a steeply pitched gable roof. The main entrance to the barn is enclosed by a large paneled garage-type door. Both the house and barn are in good condition. Brick houses are fairly comon in Wisconsin and there are a number of simple houses such as this one in the city of Fond du Lac. But, a house with a brick barn is not as comon. Most Wisocnsin barns rae frame constructed buildings with board siding. Brick barns, especially one with a high a level of integrity as this one, are less common and are architecturally significant. Further research may reveal information that may make this property historically significant. |
