NOTES
Additional Information:This two-story vernacular house is constructed of brick and has a low-pitched gable roof. Windows are largely four light double-hung sashes. They are decorated with segmental brick arches. A veranda wraps wround the front of the house and attaches to the shallow two-story ell. It features thin round posts, a spool-and-spindle balustrade, and a pediment over the veranda entrance. Garage.

This house is a good example of a simple variation of a vernacular form.

This was the home of Simon Schaefer Sr., between 1887 and 1907. Schaefer Sr. was a real estate agent and city official. Simon Schaefer Jr., and his wife, Ellen. lived here between 1909 and 1942. Schaefer Jr. was also a real estate agent.
