Additional Information: | This two story commercial vernacular building is constructed of painted bricks. It has a cornice of brick corbelling and round arches. The upper floor openings appear to have been tall arched windows under arcaded label moldings. The windows have been replaced with a group ofmodern casements with large transoms. The storefront is enclosed with aggregate paneling and has several modern show windows and doors. This building has some architectural interest as an example of the commercial vernacular style of architecture. This building was the long time home of G.A.Egelhoff, later Egelhoff Brothers, shoe store between 1899 and 1930. |
