NOTES
Additional Information:Small one story clapboard house with front end gable with simple bargeboard. Extension on NE side and house raised on foundation.

Previously surveyed in 1982. Since that time, a small rear entry addition was made to the southeast side of the house. However the house still retains its original siding and bracket trim.

2008- "This one-story house rises from a rock-faced, concrete block foundation and is covered with clapboard siding. A gabled
wing extends to the northwest, while a gabled rear entrance (which was added between 1982 and 2000) extends from
the southeast elevation. A single wooden knee brace accents the gabled peak of the porch, while modest flat brackets line the eave.

This house was built in circa 1900 by Norwegian immigrant Nils Hoshovd. Hoshovd married Anna Harriet Pedersen in
1895 and they lived in this house and/or maintained ownership of the home until at least 1935. At the time of the
home's construction, Nils was working at the Keystone Lumber Company; within two years, he was employed at the
Barker & Stewart Lumber Company. After working briefly at A. Booth & Co., wholesale fish, he joined Swift & Co.,
wholesale meats, as a driver and then as a traveling salesman. Nils died on 25 August 1957. By 1942-43, the house
was occupied by Albert Butler."
