Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This one and one-half story bungalow has a sloping gable roof with wide overhanging eaves supported by knee-brackets. The upper portion of the house is sided while the lower portion is covered with brick. A decorative brick belt course separates the two stories. Windows are largely banks of casements with some sashes. On the first story they are decorated with fancy brick label moldings. The front porch has a gable roof supported by grouped square posts on a brick balustrade. The sloping roof with knee-brace brackets and craftsman details of this house are typical of the style. The fine craftsmanship of the brickwork on this house makes it stand out among other bungalows in the city. |
