Additional Information: | This 2 story Queen Anne house has a steeply pitched hip and gable roof with projecting gables. The house is covered with aluminum siding, obscuring any decorative details that may have been oridingla to the hosue. The front porch is a small veranda with a front gable decorated with a sunburst, turn posts, brackets, and a gazebo-like section that wraps around the corner of the hosue. This house is a good example of a variation of the Queen Anne style. This was the home of Edward Huber, a druggist, between 1895 and 1905. It was the home of Fred and Helen Steenberg between 1907 and 1942. Fred Steenberg was an executive with the O.C. Steenberg Company, a sash, door, and blind factory. Initial research indicates that the occupants of this house are not historically significant. |
