Additional Information: | This two story other vernacular styled house features an L-shaped plan configuration, a brick foundation, a cream brick exterior, a brick trim and a shingled hip roof. A hip roofed dormer appears in the attic story on the facade. Its low pitched hip roof and wide overhanging eaves echo the design of the main roof. Rectangular windows have six-over-one panes and brick voussoirs with stone keystones. The open designed front porch has its flat roof supported by squared and carved posts resting on paneled bases. A wooden railing further distinguishes this porch. The residence is in good condition. Margaret Griffith lived here between c. 1885 and c. 1900. Albert Lieberman, a vice-president of the Watertown Canning Company, lived here between c. 1924 and c. 1936. (See Bib. Ref. A). |
